Dojo Assistant

Prerequisites

• Minimum age of 16.
• Minimum rank of Green belt with a working knowledge of the judo techniques included in the DA program and as identified by the Judo Canada Kyu syllabus.
• For Green, Blue and Brown belt, a letter of recommendation from the sensei stating that the participant meets the technical requirements.

Dojo Assistant In Training

• Have completed the Dojo Assistant workshop (Integrated Technical and Theory, including the Make Ethical Decisions (MED) training module).

Dojo Assistant Trained

• Have completed the Dojo Assistant workshop.
• Have completed the Make Ethical Decisions – Competition Introduction online evaluation.

Dojo Assistant Certified

• Have completed the Dojo Assistant workshop.
• Have completed the Make Ethical Decisions – Competition Introduction online evaluation.
• Have successfully completed coach portfolio.
• Have successfully completed the coach evaluation.

Or

• Are previously Level 1 Certified or Level 2 Certified.
• Have completed the Make Ethical Decisions online evaluation for Instructor Beginner.
