Another successful Championship for Team BC with 9 Gold, 7 Silver and 12 Bronze medals at the 2016 Canadian Judo Nationals in Calgary!
The first Team BC Gold medal of the Championships was awarded to Paul Whishaw of Burnaby Judo Club and John Morris of Port Coquitlam Judo for their Nage-no Kata performance on day one of the tournament. Partners Ron Kuramoto of Steveston Judo Club and Rick Blanchard of Port Coquitlam Judo Club received the Silver in Kime-no Kata, and the Bronze medal for Nage-no kata went to Tom Argue and Matt Roots of Port Coquitlam. It was a great first day for the Port Coquitlam Judo Club!
