Campbell River Sensei’s Henry and Crowhurst took 14 members of their club, ranging from 4 to 16 yrs old, to the Evergreen seniors home to put on a judo demonstration for our club founder Mr Ramsay and his friends. “It was a great honour by all to be involved in such a special event. Our members showed the exceptional skill level that the CRJC has been known for for nearly 50 years.” said David Crowhurst on Facebook “A very special moment occurred when Mr Ramsay stood on the mats and addressed the kids and expressed how happy he was that the club had grown from just 5 people to the 100+ that it is now. And he reaffirmed that the skills they acquire through judo weren’t just sport skills but life skills that would last forever. The CRJC can’t thank the Evergreen staff enough for all they did to help make this special day happen for Mr Ramsay and all that were involved.”
