The Fernie Judo Club has been selected by the readers of the Kootenay Business Magazine as one of the best in the 17th annual Kootenay Business Magazine – Best of Business Awards.
“I received a most curious phone call today – apparently the readers of ‘Kootenay Business Magazine’ voted us as one of the most successful businesses in the Kootenays and we won a ‘silver’. I told the folks that all our coaches would be very flattered but we weren’t a business; rather a non-profit sports club. No matter (I was told), the readers have spoken. I guess that means ALL of our club members have won a silver award.” says Sensei Fred Gietz.
