16 bags of judogis and belts donated by Judo BC members were loaded into a shipping container on December 29th – about 100 judogis and belts from 8 different clubs (Seinen, Steveston, Delta Kaigan, Prince George, Kamlops, Campbell River, Aberdeen, and Burnaby), rest of the 20 foot container was filled with donated basketball equipment all bound for the under privileged in Zimbabwe. It should arrive there sometime in March and will be met by people from the Hoops4Hope organisation as well as members of the Executive of Judo Zimbabwe.
Thanks again to all those individuals and clubs who have donated to both Zimbabwe and South Africa this year and to Sandra Hewson, Judo BC’s 2nd VP, for organizing this donation effort!
