As you are aware when Diane St. Denis departed Judo BC the plan was to replace her position with a part time Program Coordinator in September 2012 followed by a Sport Development Director in January 2013. Finding the right person to be the Sport Development Director has proven to be a challenging task and we will be delayed in filling this position. The Board of Directors and hiring committee has been working to find a suitable candidate, we will have someone onboard as soon as possible. We have been interviewing recently and hope to make an offer within the next week or so.
We recognize that this staffing situation has led to some challenges and delays in communication, and on behalf of the board I would like to thank you for your patience as we transition into our new staffing model.
